Asolva develops web-based system to track California Children's Services reimbursement

June 7, 2007

Los Angeles, CA -- Asolva, Inc. has developed a web based solution to track and report California Children's Services (CCS) cases for Kaiser Permanente. The CCS system was developed to consolidate and centralize data from 10 Kaiser facilities in the Southern California Region.

Asolva worked closely with the Kaiser's Accreditation, Regulation and Licensing experts to study the processes at multiple facilities in Southern California and design a solution that met the needs of care coordinators, finance and management. The system will track CCS patients, referrals for treatment as well as authorizations for treatment and reimbursements from state and county agencies.

Prior to implementation of the CCS system, each facility had a different process for tracking CCS cases using spreadsheets or desktop databases. Unifying CCS cases on a single database will enable sharing of information between facilities and provide management visibility into case loads, services provided and financial information without manual consolidation of the data.

CCS is a statewide program managed by the California Department of Health Services that treats children with certain physical limitations and chronic health conditions or diseases. CCS can authorize and pay for specific medical services and equipment provided by CCS-approved specialists.
