Reduce antimicrobial resistance by gaining insight into antimicrobial use. Measure using CDC-standardized metric. Submit to NHSN for national benchmarking.

Antimicrobial agents are the most important tools to combat life-threatening bacterial diseases, but their overuse has caused bacteria to adapt, creating new bacteria strains that are resistant to the drugs. With fewer drugs on the market to battle new organisms, people are at risk of acquiring serious infections for which there is no treatment, resulting in prolonged illness and greater risk of patient death.

Antimicrobial resistance has been called one of the world’s most pressing public health issues of this century, and for that reason, CDC considers antimicrobial resistance a top priority and concern.

Medici AU is one of Asolva’s solutions to help combat the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance. Medici AU is a software tool that analyzes eMAR data and helps healthcare facilities identify and track potentially inappropriate antimicrobial use.

Developed in partnership with CDC, Medici AU uses standardized, clinical-accepted metrics.  Medici AU enables facilities to understand their own antimicrobial use and submit their data for peer benchmarking to CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).
